Ankore is the primordial being, male/female, creator of all the elements and the first beings. Brought the world out of its thinking. He created men in pairs. With raft he made four little dolls, two men and two women. With a beehive he made another four and with mud another four. The whites came out of the raft, the blacks came out of the hive, and the Embera people came out of the mud. In the initial times the animals were people on earth and the Emberá lived with them on equal terms. Those who had control of water and fire, were selfish with these goods towards the other animals, therefore Ankoré definitely turned them into animals.
