Everyone parades kings for their heroism, fearlessness, leadership, integrity, and the inspiration they give to others. But, no one ever talks about where kings go when they need to be led. Let’s call this character Julius. King Julius is renowned all across the land and regarded by his people as the greatest king to ever walk the earth. They quite literally kiss the ground he walks on. But Julius was at odds. The royal council had been trying to persuade the king to go to war with the most dangerous land of their time. The opposing land had an army twice the size of theirs along with a dominion of soldiers who were nothing short of war-hungry savages. Julius knew that war with them would mean the destruction of his kingdom. But, his pride as a king wouldn’t let him back down. So without warning, Julius took leave. He went deep into the mountains. Deeper than anyone in his kingdom had ever been. Where most would have tugged their tail and ran back Julius was unwavering in his resolve. What you see here is Juilius’s destination. The Shrine of Wisdom, built by his predecessors as a place for a king to find wisdom.
