DUNE

This series is the sixth collaboration I have done with Samantha Rose. Our process begun like it always does by ideating at the moment before I begin painting. The colors and patterns only came together when framing her body against the backdrop of the sand dunes. I wanted to pay homage to the film DUNE which captivated my imagination for Science-Fiction. The notion of extra-terrestrial beings is something I've always wanted to explore with my work thereby enabling me to bring these forms to planet earth and juxtaposing them against natural environments.
